A new bar/restaurant called Catch 202 opened up around the way so I decided to check it out since they had this karaoke night popping and the DJ is good peoples so I get to knock out two things, showing support for my boy and checking out a new spot. If you use your GPS please note that Catch 202 sits in the cut located behind Mattress Firm in Concord Pike Village next to the Fortunoff backyard store and is NOT visible from the highway. The easiest thing I can tell you that it’s right before you get to the hotel (Double Tree) if you pass the hotel you missed the entrance. So my advice would be slow up when you see the vitamin shop and get ready to turn.
For parking Catch 202 has a nice size lot although the spots in front are bound to fill up quickly there’s plenty of parking to the left and to the entrance of the bar. The lot seems pretty secure as there are several other businesses that also utilize that same parking lot.
It took a moment for my food to arrive and unfortunately Christa was the only one working up front, so she had to take drink orders and run to the back to get the food, also my wing order was wrong, the cook made hot wings instead of the old bay rub I asked for. The burger was on pretty damn good and freaking huge, she brought the wings back with the old bay rub I ordered and it was spot on.
The upstairs bar has a nice cozy feel with plenty of TV’s on the walls and two pool tables. And the jukebox is one of those touch tone ones you can play songs via the app which is a plus when there’s no Dj. The downstairs bar covers the entire width of the building and has plenty of seating. Tonight is karaoke and DJ KayGee is providing music services.
Overall Catch 202 is well worth visiting, especially once the owners get things up to speed, I predict that this spot will be frequented by the college students from the campus a mile down the road, a few were here when I showed up.
Aside from my order being off, and not having a drink menu. I’d have to say that the bartender Christa made up for it with a great introduction and conversation and prompt service which made me a fan and I’ll definitely be back…

Warm and cozy bar/restaurant with tons of potential, great staff and relaxed atmosphere. Wanted to give a higher rating for food as it was good, just not a fan of having the wings rinsed off instead of being replaced. Plenty of free parking, the ambience is nice and relaxed and the staff was friendly and eager to serve.
