Although this place has been a round for a few I just recently got a chance to swing through and check out the new food and drink menus. Located at 340 S. Market st in Wilmington, DE it’s just outside of the city limits but not by much.
One thing I love about this place is that there’s plenty of parking with additional spaces behind the fence and if it’s really jumping over in the parking lot by the shopping center which isn’t a far walk. Inside you’ll find a very comfy lounge / VIP area, coat check and a huge dance floor and bar.
Open mostly from Wednesday to Sunday they offer specialty nights ranging from karaoke, to an open mic jazz, guest bands and brunch on Sundays (visit their website for details) On one of the nights I stopped by they were offering a surf-n-turf meal with the option of either crab cakes or shrimp.
I went with the shrimp and let me tell you it was absolutely delicious and came cooked to order (I’m very particular in how my steak is prepared) the plate presentation was awesome, so much I felt bad cutting into it and messing it all up. But best believe I cleaned the plate LOL. For drinks I wanted to try a Henny Punch as I was hooked again on their presentation which you can tell from the image below.
Now for entertainment they definitely have it covered from their daily happy hour and event nights with live local bands, jazz jam sessions, karaoke to dance nights with some of the hottest DJ’s around. One one night we caught Stacia LaChole and the Black Soul Band and on another it was crabs and karaoke.
So if you’re looking for something to do you can’t go wrong with heading over to Celebrations from entertainment to food they definitely have you covered.
